New production line for hybrid solutions

Wagner has successfully installed a new production line for hybrid solutions. The metal-plastic hybrid is a key component of a mild-hybrid system finding its application in the cars produced by a well-known German automotive OEM. For this strategic project, Wagner has co-developed and invested into a highly efficient and innovative automation technology. This new technology includes an optical camera system and identification software, which allows a “chaotic” feeding of the die-casting parts into the injection molding process, without a specific pre-centering or pre-positioning of the parts. The highly flexible set-up of the automation technology allows Wagner to use this production line also for the production of further hybrid components without significant further investments.

This is not the end of the story yet – there is more to come as our vision foresees further steps towards more innovative hybrid solutions and an even more efficient production of high-precision hybrid components. Stay tuned!
