In Q1 2020, Wagner was awarded with three large automotive projects in the project amount of more than EUR 40 million. The projects will serve mild-hybrid and autonomous driving applications and are a result of Wagner’s long-term oriented technology and growth strategy. Wagner has been able to build up a very competitive market position in these high-growth applications thanks to its technology and material competence, which creates the basis for innovative weight- and cost-optimizing solutions. A critical element of the successful development of these solutions was the integration of multi-material hybrid technology as well as cutting-edge laser-based production technology. The first investments into the extension of these technologies could be concluded during this month.
Based on its technology and internationalization strategy, Wagner Group is very well positioned to face the challenges of the coming years by fulfilling the increasing customer requirements regarding cost, weight and CO2 emissions.
